Qom is the capital of Qom province. The city is the largest centre for Shia scholarship in the world because of the Fatimah bint Musa shrine. A large number of pilgrims visit the city every year. Qom has a desert climate with low rainfalls so the weather of it is warm and dry. The city located between Isfahan and Tehran so it is tolerably developed for tourism. The city could be one of the destinations for desert tourism.
